We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Area Manager to support our sales efforts in Italy. The ideal candidate will be a team player with strong sales skills, excellent market analysis capabilities, and a strategic mindset.

The main areas of responsibility are:

  • Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify potential clients and generate leads through various channels such as networking events, referrals, cold calling, and digital marketing. Develop opportunities within identified Strategic and Target Accounts.
  • Client Needs Analysis: Understand the specific needs, challenges, and goals of potential clients related to certification and training services.
  • Solution Presentation: Present the benefits, features, and value propositions of certification services offered by the company to potential clients.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare and customize proposals that address the unique requirements of each client, including pricing, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Negotiation and Closing Deals: Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing with clients to reach mutually beneficial agreements and close sales.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with clients by providing ongoing support, addressing concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to identify new opportunities and strategies for business growth.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams: Coordinate with internal teams such as marketing, operations, and customer support to ensure smooth delivery of certification and training services and meet client expectations.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track sales performance metrics, analyze results, and make data-driven decisions to optimize sales strategies and achieve sales targets.
  • Continuous Learning and Development: Stay informed about industry standards, regulatory changes, and advancements in certification and training services to enhance expertise and effectiveness in sales efforts.
  • Performs key administrative functions.
  • Works closely with internal stakeholders when responding to a request for proposal (RFP) to inform them of market conditions, pricing issues and the current competition on the program.
  • Promotion: Actively promotes the image, capability and integrity of DNV to the marketplace.

About you

The successful candidates should have:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years’ experience with sales areas in Management Systems Certification (ISO).
  • Experience prospecting and working with Large, Global Entities.
  • Demonstrable experience on hunting clients.
  • Demonstrable client service and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with ISO standards, supply chain and/or training.
  • Knowledge / experience with CRM system, ideally Oracle based.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access.
  • Ability to negotiate and manage contractual arrangements.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
